Our University
This goal calls for immediate action to combat climate change and its impacts, as well as to fulfill international commitments in this area.
To achieve this goal in the context of the University of Baghdad, the following actions can be taken: The university organizes awareness campaigns and educational events about the impacts of climate change and how to mitigate negative effects, encouraging sustainability initiatives on campus, such as transitioning to renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions. The university supports scientific research in the field of climate change and the development of sustainable solutions, incorporating climate change issues into curricula to educate students and empower them to contribute to sustainable solutions. It also promotes collaboration with international organizations and other partners to meet international commitments in combating climate change. The Environmental Engineering Department at the College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad plays a significant role in achieving this goal.
