The College of Mass Communication organized a major environmental event to mark World Earth Day as part of the “Green Tech” project, aimed at promoting environmental awareness and reinforcing sustainability concepts across the university campus.
The event witnessed broad participation from students and faculty members and featured a variety of activities focused on spreading environmental culture, encouraging green initiatives, and highlighting the importance of preserving natural resources and reducing pollution.
The initiative was supervised by Professor Dr. Irada Zaidan Al-Jubouri and organized through the efforts of the Green Tech team, with direct follow-up from the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, who continues to support initiatives that contribute to building a sustainable university environment and strengthening students’ role in community service.
The event aligns with the college’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13 on climate action, through promoting environmental awareness and encouraging positive environmental behavior within and beyond the university community.
