The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Mass Communication organized an awareness activity featuring a specialized poster titled “A Healthy Environment for a Sustainable Future,” supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Al-Shujairi, as part of the college’s efforts to promote environmental culture and reinforce sustainability concepts within the academic community.
The activity highlighted the concept of ecological balance between environmental health and building a sustainable future, with a focus on the individual’s role in reducing pollution and using resources responsibly.
It aimed to raise student awareness and encourage young people to actively engage in protecting the environment and adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives.
The Women’s Affairs Unit emphasized that environmental protection is not solely an institutional responsibility but a societal culture that begins within universities and extends to the wider community, stressing the importance of such initiatives in shaping a generation aware of contemporary environmental and climate challenges.
The initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and Goal 13 (Climate Action).
