The Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit at the College of Mass Communication organized a specialized training workshop titled “Riyada Initiative: A Launch Toward Innovation,” presented by trainer Taysir Khalid Mahdi, as part of the college’s efforts to harness youth potential and prepare graduates and students for the requirements of the modern labor market.
The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the initiative launched by the Prime Minister, with a focus on mechanisms supporting creative ideas and small-scale projects.
The lecturer offered a detailed explanation of the application steps through the electronic platform, starting from account creation to enrollment in the training program, noting that the initiative pathway begins with registration and training and ends with the incubation of ideas and provision of necessary support.
She also emphasized the key role of universities as primary incubators of creativity and the main platform for launching entrepreneurial projects, highlighting the importance of such workshops in creating an interactive environment that supports innovation and develops students’ practical skills.
The outcomes of the workshop align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by reducing unemployment and empowering youth, and Goal 9 (Industry and Innovation) by supporting start-ups and innovative projects.
