The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Mass Communication organized a specialized training course titled “State Employees Disciplinary Law No. (14) of 1991 (Amended),” targeting faculty members and staff, as part of its efforts to enhance legal awareness and reinforce principles of professional discipline within the academic institution.
The first-day activities were attended by the Dean of the College, his assistants, heads of departments, and a number of lecturers and employees, reflecting the administration’s commitment to supporting training programs that contribute to improving institutional performance.
The course was delivered by Dr. Ikhlas Hamid Hamza and Assistant Lecturer Amina Abbas Hussein, who presented the key provisions of the law, its implementation mechanisms, and the rights and duties of public employees, in addition to discussing practical cases to strengthen participants’ legal understanding.
The course aligns with the college’s efforts to promote integrity and transparency and to foster a work environment based on compliance with laws and regulations, contributing to the advancement of institutional performance.
This initiative is directly linked to Sustainable Development Goal 16, which focuses on peace, justice, and strong institutions, through promoting legal awareness and reinforcing good governance within educational institutions.
