The College of Mass Communication received a committee from the University Psychological and Educational Guidance Evaluation Division at the Center for Educational and Psychological Research to review the work of the college’s Psychological and Educational Counseling Unit and assess its activities and plans.
During the visit, the committee met with the head of the unit, Dr. Rana Abdul Latif, in the presence of Dr. Ammar Ahmed, where they reviewed the unit’s key achievements and the programs implemented in recent periods, in addition to discussing mechanisms for developing counseling work to better support students and strengthen a healthy university environment.
The committee also examined the unit’s guidance and awareness materials, resources, records, and ongoing activities in psychological support, educational guidance, and community awareness within the college.
The visiting delegation emphasized the importance of strengthening the counseling role within educational institutions as a key pillar in supporting students psychologically and academically. They also commended the College of Mass Communication for its efforts in activating counseling programs and providing a supportive and motivating academic environment.
The visit is part of the regular follow-up conducted by the University Psychological and Educational Guidance Division at the Center for Educational and Psychological Research to monitor counseling units across the University of Baghdad and enhance their performance in line with modern university requirements.
