Baghdad/… In the College of Media at the University of Baghdad, a scientific interview was conducted via the “Google Meet” platform with non-Iraqi students from Yemen and Pakistan who are seeking admission to the Department of Public Relations in the college for the academic year 2023-2024.
This initiative by the College of Media falls within the framework of the “Study in Iraq” project, launched by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, to open the doors of education to foreign students to obtain academic seats in Iraq.
The committee responsible for organizing the interviews was chaired by Dr. Ali Al-Shammari and included Dr. Talib Abdul Majid, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ameri, Dr. Baqer Musa Jasim, Dr. Huda Malik, and Dr. Huda Adel as its members.
The international students expressed a strong desire to join the College of Media at the University of Baghdad, as it is considered one of the leading colleges in the field of public relations in the Arab world and the region.
In turn, Professor Dr. Ammar Tahir, the Dean of the College of Media, affirmed the college’s commitment to providing a diverse educational environment and encouraging cultural exchange among students in line with the policies of the Ministry of Higher Education and the University of Baghdad to open up to the world and meet the requirements of international academic rankings. He expressed his pride in having students from various nationalities among the Iraqi student body.
The “Study in Iraq” project is a pioneering initiative that comes in the context of integrating the elements of academic reputation, scientific research, reputable publications, and the quality of the educational environment. It represents a deliberate direction to achieve the steps of Iraqi universities in occupying their customary position after adopting the Bologna Process, achieving positive rankings in international classifications, and registering clear progress in scientific publishing indexes within reputable databases.
