The Dean of the College of Mass Communication at the University of Baghdad, Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed, welcomed the President of Al-Turath University, Professor Jaafar Jaber Jawad, during an academic visit to the college.
The visit included a tour of the college’s modern infrastructure, advanced teaching laboratories, training facilities, and studios, which have been developed as part of a comprehensive modernization plan that has strengthened the college’s position as one of Iraq’s leading institutions for media education.
Professor Jaafar expressed his admiration for the college’s remarkable academic and infrastructural achievements, stating that what he witnessed reflects a forward-looking institutional vision and a genuine commitment to building a modern academic environment that meets international standards in media education and training.
During the tour, he said, “I take my hat off to this college. It is an outstanding model of progress and achievement, and it will remain a leading academic institution dedicated to preparing future media professionals.”
He added that the college’s modern facilities, including its laboratories, studios, and lecture halls, demonstrate the significant efforts invested in advancing media education, noting that the College of Mass Communication has become one of the leading media colleges in Iraq and the region.
For his part, Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed welcomed the visit, affirming that the college continues to implement its development plans and expand its academic partnerships to provide an integrated learning environment that keeps pace with the rapid changes in the media and communication sector.
The two sides also discussed prospects for strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the College of Mass Communication and Al-Turath University through joint research initiatives, training programs, expertise exchange, and collaborative academic activities aimed at enhancing higher education and academic excellence.
