The Dean of the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed, received a delegation from the Content Creators Department at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities to discuss prospects for joint cooperation as part of the Ministry’s efforts to establish effective partnerships with academic institutions and support the development of media capabilities and meaningful content.
The Ministry’s delegation emphasized its commitment to strengthening cooperation with the College, recognizing its distinguished academic and professional expertise. The proposed collaboration includes organizing joint training workshops, scientific seminars, and educational programs, as well as exchanging expertise across various media fields to keep pace with the rapid evolution of the media and digital content industries.
Prof. Dr. Ammar Taher Mohammed welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed the College’s readiness to contribute its academic expertise and scientific resources to ensure the success of the proposed programs. He stressed that such cooperation would strengthen integration between academic and cultural institutions while advancing the development of national media professionals.
Both sides agreed to establish a joint framework that will pave the way for a formal institutional partnership aimed at achieving their shared objectives. The partnership is expected to contribute to the preparation and qualification of media professionals and enhance the cultural and educational role of media in serving society and meeting contemporary challenges.
