The College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, participated in serving Arbaeen pilgrims through the active involvement of its faculty members and students in providing services to pilgrims. The initiative reflects the College’s commitment to its social mission and embodies the values of volunteerism and solidarity that characterize Iraqi society during this large-scale religious occasion.

The participants provided various forms of assistance to pilgrims, helping facilitate their movement and meet their needs in an atmosphere of cooperation, selflessness, and teamwork. The initiative underscores that the role of an academic institution extends beyond education and scientific research to active participation in national and humanitarian initiatives that strengthen social cohesion.

Dean of the College, Professor Ammar Taher Mohammed, affirmed that serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein represents a moral and humanitarian responsibility and a practical expression of the values that the University seeks to instill in its students, particularly community service, volunteerism, and a sense of responsibility. He noted that such initiatives contribute to preparing a generation that combines academic excellence with a strong sense of national responsibility.
