The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Mass Communication, University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Liaison Officer at the University Health Division, organized an online lecture titled “Women’s Mental Health and Its Impact on the Workplace.” The event was attended by several college staff members and others interested in the topic.
The lecture addressed the importance of women’s mental health, the key factors affecting it, and its implications for job performance, workplace interactions, and professional relationships. It also highlighted the importance of providing a supportive work environment that takes women’s psychological well-being into account and promotes both psychological and professional stability and balance.
The lecture aimed to raise awareness of the importance of women’s mental health, introduce practical ways to maintain it, and strengthen the ability to cope with psychological and work-related pressures. These efforts contribute to improving quality of life and job performance while fostering a more balanced and stable workplace.
The event is part of the College of Mass Communication’s efforts to raise awareness of social and humanitarian issues and support initiatives that promote mental health and create a supportive university and professional environment for women. It aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5: Gender Equality, and Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
